American Airlines set to resume Calgary-Chicago in Spring 2010

In an extremely detailed press release from American Airlines outlining the future of their liquidity, fleet and network, AMR Corp listed many new routes that are planned for 2010. Of course the one that interests us most here is that AA's subsidiary regional carrier, American Eagle is slated to start flights between Calgary and Chicago in Spring of 2010.

American has not flown this route for quite a few years (at least 3 or 4, could be more) and at that time it was flown by mainline MD-80's, whereas the new announcement for American Eagle will likely see CRJs flying the route. In any case this is better then no planes as it always good to have more options and of course the flight will connect to hundreds more at AA's megahub in Chicago.
